M/s Sunrise bamboo and cane craft cooperative society Ltd, is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) formed for the socio economic upliftment of bamboo and cane artisans of Mokokchung district, Nagaland established in the year 2020, registered under Department of Cooperation Nagaland, registration number NL/9240, under the sponsorship of the Ministry of MSME Government of India (GOI) with the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship (IIE) Guwahati as the nodal agency (NA)and M/s Rudichulare multi purpose cooperative society Ltd Mokokchung, as the implementing agency (IA), the society strives to transform traditional craftsmanship into a sustainable income generating industry.
Our M/s Sunrise bamboo and cane craft cooperative society Ltd, primarily focuses on supporting artisans living below poverty line (PBL) unemployed youths and artisans enabling them to gain meaningful employment through skill upgradation, technology support and market linkage by utilizing the regions abundant natural resources such as bamboo and cane, we aim to create an eco friendly and self sustaining local economy.
Moving forward, Sunrise bamboo and cane craft cooperative society Ltd, envisions establishing a bamboo and cane resource centre, promoting production units, developing innovation lab and strengthening market access through e commerce platforms and exhibition. Through collaboration with Government departments, Technical institutes, private partners etc. The society seeks to positioned Mokokchung district as a model friendly district for bamboo based entrepreneurship and green economic development.
To empower bamboo and cane artisans of Mokokchung district through sustainable livelihood creation, entrepreneurship promotion, skill development, while preserving traditional craft heritage introducing modern design, tools, machineries and market opportunities for long term socio economic growth.
To established Mokokchung as a centre of excellent for bamboo and cane craftmanship in northeast India, fostering a vibrant artisan community that contributes to employment generation, rural industrialization, environmental sustainability and poverty elevation through innovation, collaboration and self reliance.
